Douglasville Police Department Community Enrichment Meetings are held the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 7pm to 8pm (No meetings on holidays, nor the fourth Thursday in November or December). Citizens are invited to fellowship together while discussing topics impacting our community. Law enforcement and the community speak on local issues and work together as one for the benefit of the community.
As we continue to find our way out of the dark tunnels of life, we continue facing the lesson of learning to appreciate life while still in the tunnels instead of ever-reaching for the light at the “end” of them. Five photography artists display a collection of work reflecting on the personal theme “Tunnels of Light.” The exhibit will run through the dates October 11 through November 18, weekdays 9-5, with a celebration reception on Thursday, November 4, 5-7 pm. View work by Liz Stubbs, Chris Craig, Stephen Armstrong, Carolyn Meltzer, and Crystal Berry.
Calling all Stranger Things fans – Hawkins is making an appearance to downtown Douglasville on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 6 PM – 11 PM!
Prepare yourself for a journey through a delightful gathering of iconic locations and fan-favorite moments, enjoying one-of-a-kind photo ops and uncovering plenty of thrills along the way. There may also be the occasional trip to the Upside Down.
But don’t worry – it’s safe…perfectly safe…

Spaces will be rented at $10 per space/10×10 grass area or parking space. Multiple spaces can be purchased together and you can request to be next to someone. Space may be limited due to number of applicants. This event is RAIN or SHINE and will be held outside.
Please make all inquiries reference this event prior to November 5.
On Tuesday, November 16 at 12:30 pm, the Douglasville Police Department is working in conjunction with the Atlanta Community Food Bank to distribute food to Douglas County residential households in need. This “free food drive thru” is on a first come, first serve basis while the food lasts. It is our goal to make this fast and easy. As vehicles enter for the distribution, they will line up and meet with a volunteer who will be asking reference households and then the vehicle will continue through the line where the food will be placed into the vehicle. The food will be placed either in the trunk or backseat, no need for anyone to exit the vehicle.
